So you have your villains.
And villains that you hate.
Villains that you love.
The villains that you love to hate and hate to love.
THEN THERE’S THIS FUCKER.
angels... they're falling.
#okay come on though #no wings and that thing CAN’T have killed her#she’s stuck it into so many angel skulls and they’ve all been fine #this is like jamming a pencil into a cpu she’s fried but she can come back #I’M NOT EVEN IN DENIAL I JUST THINK THIS IS LOGIC (via jimmynovaks)
Okay, but can we talk about how Dean’s hand would have absolutely no effect on holding Cas back? Cas is an angel, and Dean’s hand is barely holding on to his arm. He could easily pull away and rush forward to kill Naomi, but he doesn’t. Even though he’s furious and desperate and guilty, enough to shake off Dean’s hand angrily, enough to blindly trust Metatron even given evidence that he isn’t working in Heaven’s best interest, even with all that, Cas still responds to Dean’s hand on his arm. He doesn’t break free to kill Naomi, because Dean asked him not to.
Also, the fact that it was Dean asking Cas to behave prudently speaks volumes toward his maturing as a character. He’s acting as Cas’ conscience in many ways that I find intriguing. This is not the Dean that rushes into a lethal situation without regards to whether it’s the right thing, just because a supernatural being is involved, anymore. This is a kinder, gentler Dean who gets that Cas is at a breaking point and wants to not only protect the cupid, but also Cas who may just be too used to killing (and it’s tearing him apart). And, this is not a Dean that gives Cas an ultimatum; do this or else. This is a Dean who is treating Cas like a, dare I say it, true partner in crime.
